Racing on the Pão de Açucar race track, a south easterly breeze in between 5-10 knots allowed all the fleets to conclude their racing. The breeze died towards the latter part of the afternoon as the Women’s 470 wrapped up proceedings.

A south westerly breeze from 15-20 knots spoilt the Finn and Nacra 17 sailors on the Pão de Açucar course as two excellent Medal Races played out. The breeze faded towards the afternoon with the 49er getting three single point theatre style Medal Races in and the 49erFX sailing two.

The medals across ten Olympic events were decided on the final day of racing at ISAF Sailing World Cup Mallorca – Trofeo Princesa Sofia. A light morning northerly breeze picked up as the day went on ensuring a full complement of Medal Races across the ten Olympic events were completed.

The International Sailing Federation (ISAF) has confirmed the final event and equipment selections for the Rio 2016 Olympic Sailing Competition. The ISAF Council voted that Kiteboarding will replace Windsurfing for the men’s and women’s board events and confirmed the equipment that will be used for the Women’s Skiff and Mixed Multihull Events.
