Giancarlo Pedote wins "a race of speed" in Douarnenez

The Trophée MAP was concluded on Friday night at 19:49:26 with the victory of Giancarlo Pedote and Prysmian 747. It ’s the first time that an Italian win this race, and he does it breaking the record Record #sailingrecord obtained by Davy Beaudart (mini 674) in 2008, with a race time of 1 day 4 hours and 50 minutes.

Departed on Thursday at 15:00 from the bay of Douarnenez Douarnenez #Douarnenez , Giancarlo rested in the lead group (along with Jorg Riechers, Gwénolé Gahinet and Bertrand Delesne) throughout the entire race, leading the group for a while after two hours from the departure and returning in head of thefleet at Pointe du Raz.

In the evening, a regime of 20-25 knots from the west accompanied the first prototypes to cut the finish line located in the bay of Douarnenez, with this order of arrival: Giancarlo Pedote, Gwénolé Gahinet (Watever / Nautipark) and Bertrand Delesne (Teamwork).

The regatta is valid for the "Championnat de France Promotion Course au Large en Solitaire - Mini 6.50", organized by the Fédération Française de Voile in collaboration with the French Mini class.

In the first test valid for the league (the Pornichet Sélect), Giancarlo got the second position.
