Nicole Pacelli becomes the sports first ever women’s World Stand Up Paddle Paddle #standuppaddle #paddleboard Surfing Champion after 4 dramatic events that traversed the globe and pitted the World’s best Women Surfers against each other in Hawaii, Brazil, California and France.

Nicole won the first event at Turtle Bay on the North Shore of Oahu and then went onto finish in 2nd place behind Kate Brandi in Brazil. In California, she missed out on the woman on woman semi finals giving her a 5th place there, and while she had a disappointing finish here in France, with this as her discard and a 1st, a 2nd and a 5th to count, Nicole Pacelli is your 2013 World Champion.

Izzy Gomez asserts her authority on Stand Up World Tour

After an incredible win in Huntington Beach, California back in September, Izzy Gomez (Starboard) has shown that it was not a one off result for her at home in the US, but that she is a real threat on the Stand up World Tour, as she takes the win at this all important and climactic Final event of the year in France.

From the early rounds, it was clear she was one of the on form surfers of the event, and as we progressed towards the final rounds, her and Caroline Angibaud looked destined to meet in a dramatic final.

Held in challenging conditions, with strong onshore winds and challenging surf Surf #Surf , Izzy once again showed that she has what it takes to come up against the very best in the world......and win ! Izzy Gomez is your 2013 La Torche Pro France Champion.

Caroline Angibaud proves herself to be a real Contender

Caroline Angibaud from France proves herself to be a major contender on the Stand Up World Tour making it all the way to the Finals here in France, finishing second only to the on form Izzy Gomez (Starboard) from the Florida. This follows on from a strong result for Caroline in California, where she finished 3rd, and her win at the Abu Dhabi All Stars earlier this year in the UAE.

While her overall result for the year doesn’t reflect her consistency and leading edge performance, (as she only made it to 2 out of 4 events so was only able to discard one result and had to keep the other 17th), Caroline has made a statement on the World Tour this year and will be a real threat on next year’s Tour as she prepares once again to take on the World.

Vanina Walsh finishes in 3rd in France and 2nd overall

Another incredible young talent, Vanina Walsh (Starboard) finishes in an impressive 3rd place at the La Torche Pro France, presented by Naish and Twenty-Nine, but perhaps of even more note, in 2nd place overall in the world for the year, with 3rd place finishes at every event she competed in through 2013, having missed the Brazil stop on the Tour.
